I'm so disappointed. There is a tea for girls 6-9 in our town. Valerie Tripp will be there. All girls and their Moms or special someones are invited. It is on a Wednesday from 4-6. My grandchildren live 2 hours from me and it is a school day. I would have loved to go but I have no little girl to take. I would love to meet her and have her sign my books and maybe my white bodied Sam.

    Any ideas?

Could you possibly volunteer to help with the tea?

    allthingsag, where do you live?

    Here it is Saturday!

I would love to go with you, but I would have to disguise myself as a nine year old because I am a wee bit older than that, and I think I live in a different state than you.

LindaL's idea is cool- see if you can vollunteer!

Or just go anyway and say you're young at heart and bring a doll...
Maybe- well, Samantha is a girl and she's 9 years old, does that count??

Could you borrow someone's daughter? Maybe someone from your church or a friend's granddaugther?

A day out of school for some special time with Grandmother can not hurt. She could talk to her teachers and find out what work will be needed to turn in on the next day. That way she will not be behind and you two will have a great time together.

It sounds like so much fun.

Great idea getting your books signed.
